Influence of burning fireworks and fireworks forbidden on air quality in Dalian City
Based on the observation data from the Dalian national air quality monitoring station and the super station on the eve of the Chinese New Year in 2022 and 2023,the impact of fireworks and firecrackers on the atmospheric environment was com-pared and analyzed. The research results showed that the average contributions of fireworks and firecrackers to PM2.5,PM10,and SO2 in 2023 were 430.51 μg/m3,585.35 μg/m3,and 47.59 μg/m3,respectively,significantly higher than in 2022(prohibition),showing that the prohibition effectively reduces the concentration of atmospheric pollutants.During the 2023 fireworks period, the concentrations of PM2.5,OC,EC,and OC/EC were 1 087 μg/m3,27.134 μg/m3,3.031 μg/m3,and 8.772,respectively,which were 32.0 times,5.7 times,3.1 times, and 1.7 times higher than in 2022.On New Year's Eve in 2023,the concentration of PM1.0 rised quickly and decreased slowly, with PM1.0/PM10 and PM2.5/PM10 accounting for 56%and 66%,respectively.Fireworks and firecrackers had a greater contribution of to PM1.0.
