The Strategy of CPC in 1922 Hanyang Iron Works Strike and Its Enlightenment
The Hanyang Iron Works, the largest iron and steel works in modern China, had a pivotal position in Wuhan's industry and was the focus of the early workers'movement of the Communist Party of China(CPC).As early as its establishment, the CPC paid attention to carrying out investigations and propaganda in Hanyang Iron Works, guiding workers to wake up and take the initiative to participate in the strike struggle. In 1922,the workers of Hanyang Iron Works went on strike under the leadership of the CPC.In this labor movement, the CPC fully demonstrated flexible mobilization strategies, such as seizing the production lifeline of Hanyang Factory, focusing on mobilizing the workers of the chemical iron unit and decisively dealing with the issues of the"working thieves".Uniting workers, using the authorities'slogan of"protecting workers"and actively uniting with all kinds of workers'organizations to mobilize are also the useful ways. These measures have the characteristics of"adjusting to the situation",reflecting the dynamic process of the development of the workers'movement in Hanyang Iron Works, and reflecting the course of revolutionary mobilization in the early stage of the Communist Party of China.
