Glorious Practice of Workers'Schools Led by the CPC——From Wusong Workers'Supplementary School to Wusong Civilian Day and Night School(1923-1926)
From 1923 to 1926,the Communist Party of China(the CPC)continued to establish workers'schools in Wusong.Exploring the development process and achievements of worker education in the Wusong area can provide a new perspective for studying the early workers'movement of the CPC,and also supplement the research on the history of the early workers'movement and party history in Shanghai. In 1923,the CPC established the Wusong Workers'Supplementary School in the Wusong area, which vividly demonstrated the close cooperation between the early CPC and the Youth League in local affairs. In April 1924,against the backdrop of promoting civilian education during the period of cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party,Wusong Workers'School was able to reopen and renamed Wusong Civilian Day and Night School. From the establishment of the Wusong Workers'Supplementary School to the development of the Wusong Civilian Day and Night School, the CPC not only effectively educated and mobilized workers through the Workers'School, awakening their consciousness, but also successfully formed trade unions and various workers'organizations, cultivating a large number of workers'movement backbones, youth league members, and Communist Party members. Many party members who came from the background of workers made outstanding contributions to the revolutionary cause with firm faith and heroic fighting spirit.
