An Analysis of the Success and Failure of Trade Union Movements in the UK since the End of WWII
The relationship between the trade unions and the working class has long been a strong alliance. However, judging from the development of the trade union movement in Britain,it seems that the working class and the trade unions are becoming more and more distant from each other, and the trade union movement has fallen into a trough. What are the underlying reasons that have led to the failure of the trade union movement in Britain? This study will outline the logic of the development of the trade union movement and the reasons for its failure in Britain in terms of the strength or weakness of the trade unions'ability to integrate the class power of the proletariat and the strength or weakness of the bourgeois state's capability to repress the trade unions as well as the workers'movement. When the unions are unable to integrate the power of the working class and are unable to face the state apparatus, the trade union movement inevitably fails.
