The villages and towns settlement in the Yellow River basin(Shandong section)have nurtured rich and unique cultural landscapes.Establishing an identification indicator system to explore and organize their cultural landscape genes is significant to traditional culture in the context of the ecological conservation and high-quality development of the Yellow River basin.Leveraging research findings from landscape genetics theory and an analysis of relevant national policies and regulations,a targeted logic for constructing a cultural landscape gene identification indicator system is proposed.Through in-depth cultural landscape field investigations and archival research conducted from a historical landscape perspective in the Yellow River basin(Shandong section),13 factors and 40 indicators are identified within the hierarchical framework of"identification object-identification factor-identification indicator",which offers new perspectives and methods for achieving comprehensive identification of cultural landscapes in villages and towns settlement within the Yellow River basin.
