The Characteristics of Citation and Textual Research of the Lost Fragments in Yupian
Yupian(玉篇),compiled by Gu Yewang,was subtracted by Xiao Kai before it was issued,so its citation has some characteristics,such as meaning quote,combination,back revision,and inconsistency,which increases the difficulty and uncertainty of the research on the citation examination of Yupian.But at the same time,it also provides clues for the research of the lost fragments of Yupian,and then creates the possibility for collecting a large number of the lost fragments.The classics and annotations in Yiqiejingyinyi(一切经音义)are all cited from Yupian,and there are countless successive citations in later generations,so relevant research in the field of philology should attach great importance to the characteristics of Yupian citation.
