A Study of Variant Chinese Characters in the Korean Peninsula Block-printed Edition in the 17th Century
The variant Chinese characters of the official and private Block-printed edition on the Korean Peninsula are basically the same.Most of the variant Chinese characters in the Korean Peninsula Block-printed editions are the same as those in the inscriptions of the Wei and Jin dynasties to the Tang Dynasty and Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms in China.These are the extraterritorial circulation of Chinese variants characters,which are usually about three or four hundred years later than China.At the synchronic level,the variant Chinese characters of the Korean Peninsula show the co-existence of systematic and unique,with systematic characteristics as dominant.At the diachronic level,they show the coexistence of hereditary and variable,and the hereditary characteristics is dominant.At the level of spatial distribution,it shows the universality and regionality,with the universality as the main situation.This is closely related to the situation of Chinese character education in the Korean Peninsula and the different concepts of standardized form of Chinese characters.
