Global Relevance of the Chinese Path to Modernization and Its Relation to the Three Global Initiatives
Since entering the 21st century,the international landscape has undergone profound changes.Global economic development,world peace and security,cultural exchanges and mutual learning have all faced serious challenges.In the face of the changes that are consequential to the world,to our times and human history,Xi Jinping successively proposed the Global Development Initiative,the Global Security Initiative and the Global Civilization Initiative.As major international public goods provided by China to the world,the Three Global Initiatives,from the perspectives of development,security and civilization respectively,aim to answer such major questions as what kind of development the world needs to achieve and how to achieve it,what kind of security concept the world needs and how to achieve common security,and where human civilization is headed and how to promote it to a brighter future.Since their introduction,the Three Global Initiatives have been continuously enriched and developed in the broad practice of major country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics,especially in the head-of-state diplomacy,and have received more and more support and affirmation from the international community.The Three Global Initiatives are intrinsically embedded in Chinese modernization and are inseparably theoretically linked to it.Based on the experience of domestic practices of Chinese modernization,the Three Global Initiatives are committed to building a global community with a shared future by solving the world's development problems,addressing the challenges of international security,and promoting mutual understanding between different civilizations.The fact that the Three Global Initiatives have been put into practice worldwide has highlighted the truth,scientificity and practicability of the distinctive features,essential requirements and major principles of the Chinese modernization,and has continuously highlighted the global significance of Chinese modernization.
