Research on Multi-indexes Optimization of Milling Parameters for 7050-T7451 Aluminum Alloy
Cutting force measurement equipment and online monitoring system are used to study the effects of spindle speed by spike, milling width, milling depth, feed rate, and forward and backward milling methods on the bending moment, surface roughness, and power of the hard alloy tool when milling 7050-T7451 aluminum alloy using single factor experi-ments.Using orthogonal experimental method, the optimal milling parameters of 7050-T7451 aluminum alloy are studied through S/N ratio analysis and variance analysis.Research has shown that the forward milling is more suitable for milling 7050-T7451 aluminum alloy. The bending moment on the cutting tool gradually decreases with the increase of spindle speed and finally stabilizes, increasing with the increase of milling width, milling depth and feed speed. The surface roughness de-creases first and then increases with the increase of spindle speed. There is a positive correlation between milling parameters and processing power. To obtain lower machining bending moment and power,as well as better surface quality, higher spin-dle speed, lower feed speed, and milling width should be taken. The optimal milling parameters level of7050-T7451 alumi-num alloy are A3 B1 C2D1,that as n=6000r/min,ae=3.0mm,ap=1.6mm and vf=1500mm/min.
