Influence of Position Change of Worm Wheel on Tooth Profile Error of Generative Grinding
During the generative grinding of cylindrical gears,different worm wheel position errors have different effects on the grinding accuracy of the tooth surface.In this paper,the mathematical model of worm wheel generative grind-ing is established and the distribution law of the meshing trace of the tooth surface is analyzed by using the two-parameter envelope theory.Based on the calculation model of tooth surface deviation including the position error of the worm wheel,the end surface profile error of the gear is calculated.The correlation law between tooth profile deviation,tooth thickness devia-tion,and wheel position change is obtained according to the comparative analysis results,which provides a theoretical refer-ence for analyzing the source of generative grinding error and improving the generative grinding accuracy of worm wheel.
