Design and Performance Simulation Analysis of Damping Boring Bar with Two-stage Series Tuned Mass Dampers
Aiming at the problems that the boring bar with large ratio of length to diameter is easy to produce vibra-tion,low processing efficiency and unstable machining quality in processing large and complex parts'holes and hole system structure.In this paper,a damping boring novel bar with built-in two-stage series tuned mass dampers is presented.The mechanical equivalent model of the damping boring bar is established,the optimum damper length and damping ratio of the damping boring bar are determined by solving and analyzing amplitude ratio of the damping boring bar.Respectively,the ac-celeration response signal of the damping boring bar and the ordinary boring bar are solved by MATLAB/Simulink.The re-sults show that the vibration absorption performance of damping boring bar is significantly improved,and the vibration atten-uation time is substantially shortened.Workbench is used to obtain the natural frequency and the amplitude frequency curves of the damping boring bar and the ordinary boring bar by modal analysis and harmonic response analysis.It is found that the vibration amplitude of the damping boring bar is far less than that of the ordinary boring bar.The research of this paper provides certain theoretical reference for the development and popularization of damping tools.
