Study on Influence of Milling Speed on Tool Wear of TC4 Titanium Alloy
In order to study the effect of milling speed on tool wear in milling TC4 titanium alloy,ABAQUS finite ele-ment software is used for secondary development, and single factor test is used to simulate the milling process.By changing the milling speed, the change of tool wear rate is obtained. Then the milling test of titanium alloy is carried out,and the test data are compared with the simulation results to verify the correctness of the simulation. The results indicate that the two re-sults are similar, and the simulation results are feasible. That is,the greater the milling speed, the more serious the tool wear, the greater the tool wear rate. The increase of milling temperature caused by the increase of milling speed leads to the diffusion wear of the workpiece and the diffusion of the workpiece material to the tool surface accelerates the wear of the tool. Therefore,it is necessary to choose suitable milling speed to improve the service life and cutting efficiency.
