Research on Wear Characteristics of Graphite Milling Cutter Based on Diamond Coating
In order to deeply analyze the wear mechanism of diamond-coated milling cutters processing graphite and its influence on surface roughness,single-factor experiments on graphite milling are conducted, the end teeth of the tool are measured by a super-depth-of-field microscope, and a three-dimensional measuring instrument is used to measure the tool. The peripheral edge of the machine is used for contour detection, and a hand-held roughness tester is used to test the rough-ness of the machined surface. The results show that the graphite machining is dominated by abrasive wear. With the increase of the cutting distance, the wear of the end teeth of the tool continues to intensify, and the edge chipping occurs from the coating peeling off to the back, and the edge of the peripheral edge increases with the cutting distance. The contour appears larger wear, the surface roughness of the workpiece increases with the increase of tool wear and the increase of cutting dis-tance in the vertical feed direction.
