Drilling Force and Chip Analysis of Gun Drill for 15-15hs Max
High nitrogen austenitic stainless steel 15-15hs Max is a difficult-to-machine material,and it has excellent corrosion resistance and good comprehensive mechanical properties,but the machinability is poor.Taking an oil drilling part as the research object,the machining characteristics of 15-15hs Max are analyzed.Through the finite element simula-tion of 15-15hs Max drilling process,the changes of drilling force and chip shape are analyzed.The simulation results show that the drilling force will increase with the increase of the drilling depth,and the drilling force will be stable when the cutting edges are all involved in the cutting.The chips formed during the machining process are upward curved spiral chips.Under the condition of ensuring the quality and efficiency of machining holes,a set of reasonable drilling parame-ters are obtained.
