Design Method of Skiving Tool for Involute Cylindrical Gear
Focusing on the skiving of involute cylindrical gear,a design method of universal skiving tool is proposed based on the line contact meshing of staggered axis involute helical surface,which is suitable for universal rake flank type.The principle of skiving is briefly described,and the conditions of line contact meshing of staggered axis involute helical surface are analyzed and calculated.Starting from the involute helical surface,the calculation method of the cutting edge is given,and the flank model is constructed with the requirement that the accuracy of the cutting edge after regrinding is un-changed.The calculation method of the processing parameters is analyzed and given.An example of the design of the skiving tool is given.Based on VERICUT,the workpieces with different parameters are simulated processing,which verifies the uni-versality and feasibility of the skiving tool,and provides a simple and error-free method for the design of the skiving tool.
