Evaluation of Roundness Errors Based on fminimax Optimization Function
According to the meanings of the drawing indications of roundness tolerance as well as its additional sym-bols,the optimization objective functions of the center coordinates of the reference circles and the evaluation models of roundness errors are established based on the minimum circumscribed method,the maximum inscribed method and the min-imum zone method,respectively.The subprograms of the optimization objective functions of the center coordinates of the ref-erence circles and the evaluation of roundness errors are developed by using MATLAB language,and the calling method of the fminimax optimization functions in the evaluation of roundness errors is given.The roundness profiles of three cylindrical samples are extracted by using Talyrond 585LT cylindricity measuring instrument,and their roundness errors are evaluated on the basis of the least square method,the minimum circumscribed method,the maximum inscribed method and the mini-mum zone method.The influence of the optimization searching ranges on the evaluation results of roundness error is stud-ied.The optimization fitness levels of fminimax optimization function in the evaluation of roundness errors are compared with those of the other optimization algorithms.The results showed that the roundness error evaluation results'accuracies of the fminimax optimization function are higher than or equal to those of other optimization algorithms,the optimization fitness level of which can satisfy the evaluation needs of the roundness errors.
