Study on Effect of Cutting Parameters on Cutting Temperature of Milling 20CrMnTi Steel
When performing milling of 20CrMnTi hardened steel, high cutting temperature usually aggravates tool wear, thus affecting machining quality and machining efficiency. Therefore a combination of simulation and experiment to study the effect of cutting parameters on cutting temperature is proposed. An orthogonal test is designed to perform extreme difference analysis on the cutting temperature simulation results to derive the degree of influence of cutting parameters on cutting temperature. In order to verify the reasonable accuracy of the created emulation model, the same cutting parameters as the machining simulation are selected, and the simulation and test data are compared and analyzed to verify the reasona-bleness of the emulation model.Based on this emulation model, further milling simulation is carried out by the single factor test method to obtain the effect of cutting parameters on cutting temperature when milling 20CrMnTi hardened steel. The re-sults show that the cutting parameters affect the cutting temperature in descending order of cutting speed, feed per tooth and back engagement.Cutting temperature increases with increasing cutting speed, back engagement and feed per tooth.
