Research on CNC Grinding Wheel Trajectory Algorithm of Gear Forming Milling Cutter
When machining gear forming milling cutter,it is easy to have problems such as grinding wheel wear and interference,which increases the difficulty of manufacturing. Aiming at the precision manufacturing requirements of gear milling cutter,this paper proposes a grinding trajectory algorithm for gear forming milling cutter. The structural parameters of the rake face,the top flank face,the inner flank face and the outer flank face of the gear forming milling cutter are defined. Four coordinate systems are constructed and the corresponding transformation matrices are analyzed. The parametric mathe-matical models of the straight edge line,the inner edge line and the outer edge line of the rake face are established. Consid-ering the distribution of the internal and external cutting teeth of the gear forming milling cutter,according to different grind-ing processes,the adaptive grinding wheel is selected for processing,the coordinate transformation matrix is used to describe the motion mode of the grinding wheel,and the calculation method of the grinding pose of the grinding wheel based on the workpiece coordinate system is derived by means of the kinematics principle. The corresponding algorithm is developed based on VC++environment and a series of simulation and actual processing are carried out to verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
