Study on Friction Model of ZM5 Magnesium Alloy Chips Considering Influence of Cutting Data and Temperature
The friction characteristics of tool chips have a great influence on the cutting force, cutting temperature and tool wear during the magnesium alloy cutting process. Based on the friction theory of the cutter chip contact area and com-bined with finite element simulation technology,a ZM5 sawdust friction theory model considering the influence of cutting da-ta and temperature is constructed. According to the model, the ZM5 magnesium alloy friction subprogram is written in the VFRIC interface of the user friction subprogram provided by ABAQUS software and applied to the simulation. The results show that the errors of cutting force, cutting temperature and experimental values obtained by simulation are within a reason-able range, which proves that the ZM5 magnesium alloy blade friction model constructed in this paper has good accuracy.
