Research on Cutting Force of Milling 15-5PH Stainless Steel
To study the influence of cutting parameters on cutting force in milling 15-5PH stainless steel, orthogonal experimental method is used for milling simulation based on Deform-3D software, and through milling experiments of 15-5PH stainless steel, the rationality of the simulation model is verified by comparing and analyzing the simulation and experi-mental results. The research results indicate that the cutting parameters that affect the milling force are as follows:feed rate fz per tooth, radial cutting depth ae,axial cutting depth ap,and cutting speed vc.The optimal cutting parameter combination is vc=100m/min,fz=0.02mm/z,ap=1.5mm,ae=0.4mm. The gradual increase in cutting speed will lead to a decrease in cutting force. Increasing the feed rate per tooth will increase the cutting force,an increase in radial cutting depth will cause an increase in cutting force, but the growth rate is relatively low. The cutting force increases with the increase of axial cutting depth, and the growth rate is relatively high.
