Research on Influence of Drilling Process Parameters on Material Damage of CFRP Arc Parts
Due to the low interlaminar shear strength of CFRP laminates and the large axial force during the drilling process, delamination is prone to occur at the fiber layer at the drilling inlet and the fiber layer at the drilling outlet. In order to study the damage and failure of CFRP radar equipment hatch cover during drilling and drilling,ABAQUS finite element analysis software is selected to establish a CFRP arc panel model.Cohesive elements are inserted between CFRP layers to model CFRP delamination damage.Based on the VUMAT subroutine interface defining user materials, the constitutive model and failure criterion of CFRP solid element are defined by FORTRAN language. The delamination damage and matrix dam-age of small curvature CFRP arc surface parts are simulated, and the effects of bit speed and feed rate on delamination dam-age and matrix damage are studied. The results show that the larger the feed rate and rotation speed, the greater the axial force and torque, and the more serious the delamination damage and matrix damage.
