Edge Contour Correction of Thread Milling Cutter Based on Interference Compensation
The overcut problem caused by the interference between the milling cutter and the thread spiral surface in the internal thread milling is studied.The interference error model is constructed by MATLAB,and the edge contour of the milling cutter is adjusted to achieve less interference correction of the thread milling cutter.Based on UG,the simulation ex-periment of internal thread milling is carried out.The simulation results are basically consistent with the results of MAT-LAB,which verifies the accuracy of the correction method of thread milling cutter.At the same time,the experimental re-sults of M45×6 and M45×1.5 show that when other conditions remain unchanged,the larger the diameter-to-hole ratio of the milling cutter(the ratio of the diameter of the milling cutter to the diameter of the thread),the greater the interference error.Similarly,the larger the pitch is,the greater the interference error is.
