Under dry cutting conditions, the variation characteristics of cutting force when end-face turning glass fiber rein forced composite thin-wall cylinder are studied,as well as the influence of cutting speed, feed rate, depth of cut, tool tip radius and feed mode on the cutting force.Experimental results show that the variation characteristics of cutting force under longitudinal feed mode and transverse feed mode are different.Under the lateral feed mode, the cutting force increases with the increase of feed rate and depth of cut,and decreases first and then increases with the increase of cutting speed. When turning the end face with lateral feed, the contact state between the tool tip radius and the workpiece directly affects the var-iation of cutting force. When turning the thin-walled end face of glass fiber reinforced composite materials using longitudinal feed, the cutting force increases with the increase of feed rate.
