Empowering Retail Enterprises to Internationalize Through the Digital Economy:Mechanisms,Constraints,and Countermeasures
Chinese retail enterprises rely on digital technology to accelerate internationalization,and the explo-ration of integrating or leading the construction of global supply chain help serve foster a new pattern of develop-ment.From the theoretical perspective of value co-creation,the mechanism by which the digital economy empow-ers the internationalization of retail enterprises includes value co-creation with consumers,suppliers,and peers.At present,the effect of the digital economy empowering internationalization of Chinese retail enterprises has initially emerged,but it is still at the start stage,and there are problems and constraints such as limited subject scope and links of digital economy empowering international sourcing,the lack of scale effect in international operation of stores,and the uncertainty brought by the global digital trade rules game in the international transfer of expertise.The paper suggested to guide retail enterprises to promote international sourcing in collaboration with multiple sub-jects,promote the international store operation activities of retail enterprises through policy empowerment,enhance the digital voice to escort the international transfer of retail expertise,and promote the internationalization of retail enterprises under the digital"the Belt and Road"framework.
