The Facts,Problems and Policy Suggestions of China's "Increasing Imports from Neighboring Countries"
Increasing imports from neighboring countries is an important task put forward by the State and a concrete practice of China's open-door strategy of mutual benefit and win-win cooperation.China's increase in im-ports from neighboring countries is not only conducive to the high-quality development of China's economy,but al-so conducive to providing"China's kinetic energy"for the economic development of neighboring countries.How-ever,the level of connectivity between China and neighboring countries needs to be further improved,the overall level of economic and trade cooperation is not high,the geopolitical risk of some neighboring countries is high,and the development of border trade in China's border areas needs to be further improved.Therefore,the Chinese gov-ernment should accelerate the construction of infrastructure along the border areas and provide support for the con-struction of infrastructure in the neighbouring countries;speed up the signing of free trade agreements with the neighbouring countries and mobilize the neighbouring countries to participate deeply in the construction of the Belt and Road;vigorously develop the border-people's mutual trade in the neighbouring areas,and actively explore the establishment of a pilot border free trade zone;set up a mechanism for early warning and preventive measures against import risks in order to safeguard the stability of imports from the neighbouring countries;and actively prop-agate the sense of a community of destiny in the neighbouring areas,as well as strengthen the humanistic exchanges and cooperation with the neighbouring countries.
