Global FTA Network Deepening:China's Position and Optimization Strategy
Based on the WTO"Deep Agreement"database,the article constructs relevant network measure-ment indicators based on the complex network model,and comprehensively examines the evolution process and deepening characteristics of the global FTA network.As a whole,the network of FTAs covers the whole world,is complex,multi-dimensional,has strong aggregation,and is characterized by obvious hierarchical structure.The as-sociations tend to stabilize after splitting,reorganization and fusion.Comparing the network deepening characteris-tics of typical countries,it is found that the centrality indicators of the three major networks in each country have risen to different degrees,and the regional gap is significant.From the perspective of China's position,there are still problems such as insufficient quantity and quality of agreements and free trade cooperation countries to be ex-panded and upgraded.It is difficult for China to negotiate FTAs with EU countries as well as Mexico and Canada,and RCEP has helped accelerate FTA negotiations between China,Japan and Republic of Korea.Based on this,to build a high-standard FTA network facing the world,China should focus on the"core nodes"of the global FTA network,actively integrate into the regional associations,expand the Asia-Pacific"circle of friends"by taking ad-vantage of the network,and provide a Chinese strategy for deepening the development of the global FTA network.China's strategy for deepening the development of the global FTA network.
