Advancing High-quality Belt and Road Cooperation:Status,Challenges and Suggestions
Belt and Road cooperation is based on the principle of "planning together,building together,and benefiting together" and promotes the alignment of development strategies among countries. Ten years on,China and participating countries have all along been committed to strengthening openness and cooperation,enhancing cul-tural exchanges and people-to-people bonds,jointly addressing global challenges,and building a human communi-ty with a shared future. Significant progress has been made in infrastructure development,regional connectivity,and lifting the development levels of participating countries. China has contributed its wisdom and expertise to the openness,diversity and stability of the global economy. As the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) progresses from a decade of prosperity to a golden decade,it still faces a series of risks and challenges such as those related to global geopolitics,debt,compliance,environment,and culture. This paper systematically reviews the current develop-ment of the BRI,deeply analyzes the risks and challenges encountered in aligning the BRI with the development strategies of various countries and regions,and puts forward targeted policy suggestions on this basis,so as to pro-vide support for advancing high-quality Belt and Road cooperation.
