摘要
艾伦·麦克法兰是英国著名社会人类学家,剑桥大学社会人类学教授,在学术上有很高的建树。《绿色黄金》是艾伦.麦克法兰与其母亲艾瑞丝.麦克法兰合著的以茶研究为主题的作品。在该书中,作者对东亚的茶研究有深入的论述,重点考察了茶在东亚的起源与发展、茶在中国历史上的发展与作用、中国与西方的茶叶贸易等等。该书从新的角度探讨了茶与中国历史发展之间存在的密切关系,肯定了中国茶叶对英国工业革命做出的重大贡献,丰富了人们对中国历史和世界历史的认识。
Abstract
Alan Macfarlane,a well-known social anthropologist in Britain and the professor of social anthropology in Cambridge University,has made high academic achievements.Green Gold wrote by Alan Macfarlane is a book on tea.In this book,the author made an in-depth discussion on tea,mainly focusing on the origin and development of tea in East Asia,especially in China and the trade of tea between China and the West,etc.From a new point of view,this book discussed the close relations between tea and Chinese history,confirmed the great contributions that Chinese tea brought to the Industrial Revolution in Britain and enriched people＇s historical knowledge of China and the world as well.
