A Brief Study on the History of Chinese Eagle Breeding
China is one of the earliest countries in the world to engage in hunting activities.As an important helper for people in hunting,eagles have been domesticated for at least 7000 years.In their long-term hunting and production activities,the ancients continuously deep-ened and improved their understanding of eagles,and their grasp of the method of raising ea-gles also matured.Even with the development of the times,the proportion of hunting in tra-ditional social production has become smaller and smaller,and raising eagles has mainly be-come a hobby and entertainment of the royal nobility.However,in northern ethnic minority areas,raising eagles is still highly valued,and a considerable number of people rely on it for a living.This article is based on existing research results and relevant historical materials,starting from the perspective of animal husbandry history,and takes ancient eagle family raptors as the research object to explore the origin of Chinese eagle farming,the progress of eagle farming system,and the development and maturity of eagle farming methods.
