During the Tang and Song dynasties,there were many rivers and lakes in Jiangxi province,which provided favorable conditions for the development of fishery economy.With the improvement of fishing methods,fishing gear and the development of artificial fish cul-ture,professional fishermen gradually increased.The processing and management of fish products have gradually become an important economic activity in Jiangxi province,which has made great contribution to the regional social and economic development.
