Monitoring and Analysis of Soil and Water Conservation in Huangshan Sanyangkeng Watershed
Taking the Sanyangkeng small watershed in Shexian County,Huangshan City,Anhui Province as the research object, and adopting methods such as trend analysis, correlation analysis, and regression analysis, this paper conducts an in-depth analysis of precipitation, runoff, and sediment data from 2008 to 2022.The results show that the interannual variation of runoff is synchronous with precipitation, and the interannual variation amplitude of sediment transport is greater than that of runoff. The intra-annual distribution of sediment transport is basically consistent with the intra-annual distribution process of runoff, with sediment transport mainly concentrated in the main flood season from May to July. There is a significant positive correlation between runoff and precipitation,as well as between sediment transport and runoff.Sediment transport is not only related to runoff, but also related to the magnitude of peak flow. After implementing soil and water conservation measures, the underlying surface conditions of the watershed have improved, sediment transport has decreased, and the water and soil conservation benefits are significant. However, under the impact of high-intensity rainstorms and floods, the benefits of water and soil conservation measures are greatly reduced. The research results can provide a basis for water and soil erosion control and ecological environment protection in Sanyangkeng and small watersheds with similar river characteristics.
