Analysis and outlook of global paraffin wax markets since 2010
The development of synthetic wax and other alternative products in the European and American markets in recent years has compressed the space for growth in paraffin wax consumption.The pandemic outbreak in 2020 led to a decline in global paraffin wax demand,and the scale of consumption fell back to 2015 levels.Global paraffin wax demand in 2020-2025 will grow steadily from a low base,and there is limited room for growth in global paraffin wax demand with the use of synthetic wax and environmentally friendly packaging increasing.China is an important producer and exporter of paraffin wax in the world,and the foreign market consumption of paraffin wax and its products reached about 70％.In the future,China's paraffin wax consumption will rise steadily,and consumption is expected to be about 900,000 tons in 2025.Production enterprises will continue to decrease,but the total production capacity will be relatively stable.Extending the paraffin wax industry chain,improving the added value of paraffin wax products,expanding the domestic market,and reducing the degree of dependence on foreign markets are the future development direction of China's paraffin wax market.
