Analysis of the Biden administration's clean energy supply chain security policies and their impacts
In order to keep pace with the trend of energy transition and bridge the gap in key minerals in the United States,the Biden administration has promoted clean energy supply chain security policies through various channels including strengthening the institutional framework,expanding key mineral sources,increasing investment in clean energy supply chain development,and facilitating cooperation with its allies in the clean energy supply chain.The Biden administration's clean energy supply chain security policy reflects the basic undertone of interest priority of U.S.and presents such four main features as risk aversion,strong geopolitical competition,a focus on the integrity of the clean energy supply chain,and an emphasis on economic effects and market tools.The Biden administration's clean energy supply chain security policy,to some extent,promotes the U.S.domestic manufacturing industry"back to shore",and is conducive to improving the independence of the U.S.energy system.At the same time,they will tear and reshape the global clean energy supply chain,promote international relations to the campification,and intensify the competition among the major powers in the world's key minerals and clean energy technology.China should take proactive measures to enhance strategic cognition,strengthen research on clean energy supply chain technologies,deepen global participation in the clean energy supply chain,and promote bilateral and multilateral international cooperation.
