Suggestions on countermeasures for compliance management of Chinese oil and gas enterprises in the context of anti-corruption construction in Central Asian countries
In order to continue to increase their efforts to attract and utilize foreign investment,Central Asian countries have continued to increase their efforts to penalize corruption and introduced systematic anti-corruption policies.Anti-corruption policies in Central Asian countries have been punitive and preventive in nature,with increased digitization and increased international cooperation.The business environment of foreign oil and gas enterprises in Central Asian countries is gradually showing a situation of legal compliance basis,multi-party regulation,and stabilization of the legal environment,while facing the risks of inadequate legal system,frequent amendments,arbitrary law enforcement,and resource nationalism.In view of the remaining risks of Chinese oil and gas enterprises'compliance in Central Asian countries,it is recommended to collaborate with the government and strengthen the docking with the anti-corruption policies and institutions of the host countries,to raise the awareness of compliance and law-abidingness and continuously improve the level of their own legal risk prevention and control,to move the risk prevention and control gates forward and actively avoid and resolve the legal risks,and proactively to utilize the legal means to safeguard their rights when facing the operational disputes.
