Digital public goods are the product of the development of public goods into the digital age.They are one of the key elements in achieving sustainable development around the world,and public libraries are the"core pillar"of their development.The article sorts out and explains the issues of digital public products,dis-cusses the contemporary mission of public libraries in the issues of digital public products from three aspects:the supposed mission,actual practice,and the way forward,and reveals the constructive value of public libraries to the theoretical innovation and practical development of digital public products.The results show that although public libraries have been actively participating in the open practices,there are still problems such as marginal-ized roles and insufficient involvement in the issue of digital public goods.Therefore,in order to realize the mu-tual benefit between digital public products and public libraries,public libraries need to seize the development opportunities of digital public products,and also need to clarify their own mission and demonstrate the library's responsibilities.1 tab.40 refs.
