美国高校图书馆图书资源建设现状研究——基于OCLC WorldCat数据的实证分析

摘要
图书在高校图书馆的资源建设中占有举足轻重的地位,本文利用OCLC WorldCat数据库获取12所美国高校图书馆的图书收藏数据,从图书收藏总量、语种分布、学科分布、图书重叠情况4个角度进行分析,梳理美国高校图书馆的图书资源建设发展过程与现状,总结出美国高校图书馆图书资源建设的多样化、特色化和动态化等特征.在此基础上,讨论对我国高校图书馆图书资源建设的启示:建设多样化、特色化的图书资源,加强图书资源的共建共享,提高图书馆资源建设的应变能力.图3.表3.参考文献18.
Abstract
Books play an important role in the resource construction of university libraries.In this paper,OCLC WorldCat database is used to obtain book collection data of 12 American university libraries,and the data is analyzed from four perspectives:total volume of book collection,language distribution,subject distribution and book overlap.By combing through the development process and current situation of library resources construction in American university libraries,this paper summarizes the diversification,characteristic and dynamic features of library resources construction in American university libraries.On this basis,this paper discusses the enlightenment to the book resources development of Chinese university libraries:building the diversified and characteristic book resources,strengthening the co-construction and sharing of book resources,improving the strain capacity of book resources development.3 figs.3 tabs.18 refs.
