Building a Lancang-Mekong Community with a Shared Future:Concepts and Practical Approaches
The Lancang-Mekong Cooperation(LMC)mechanism is a new type of sub-regional cooperation mechanism jointly created by the six Lancang countries to pursue a community with a shared future for mankind.It serves as a pivotal platform for facilitating the ASEAN Community,maintaining regional peace and stability,promoting economic and social development,and enhancing the global governance system.Over the past eight years,the LMC has explored multiple approaches and achieved outstanding results in various fields,becoming the"testing ground"and"model showcase"for the high-quality Belt and Road cooperation and the implementation of the three global initiatives.
