Research on the Making of Modern China from the Perspective of People's Livelihood
The CPC has united and led all Chinese people in achieving the tremendous transformation of the Chinese nation from standing up to growing prosperous,which is also a journey of building a modern state with people's livelihood as the basis.This article systematically reviews five fundamental issues concerning the building of a modern state with people's livelihoods as the basis,namely,basic definition,functions and positions,value orientation,implementation methods,and action paths.It clarifies the logic of historical evolution from"people's livelihood in saving the country"to"people's livelihood in building up the country""people's livelihood in making the country prosperous"and"people's livelihood in making the country strong"as shown in the process of building a modern state under the leadership of the CPC.It showcases the value orientations demonstrated in the transition from a modern"sovereign state"to a modern"people's state".The historical experience accumulated in the process of building a modern state with people's livelihood as the basis has become a valuable spiritual asset in the new era of comprehensively promoting the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation through the Chinese path to modernization.
