In view of the general shortage of Chinese curriculum for foreign language and literature majors,starting from the talent training objectives and specifications and students'historical mission,this paper discusses the importance of Chinese level of foreign language majors.The study puts forward the urgency of improving students'Chinese level in combination with their current situation of Chinese language and culture level.It further discusses the teaching objectives,contents and methods of the four core Chinese courses,so as to show the necessity of designing systematic Chinese courses comprehensively in foreign language and literature undergraduate majors.
