Specialty setting is the foundation and core of the long-term development of higher education.Based on the specialty setting data of 70 local normal colleges,using empirical analysis,understanding that the proportion of normal specialties in local normal colleges is far lower than that of non-normal specialties,the traditional specialties have a high repetition rate but a low employment rate,the subjects are more comprehensive and the specialty groups are more dispersed.It is found that there are some problems in the specialty setting of local normal colleges,such as the weakening of the characteristics of normal colleges,the high repetition of specialty setting in the region,and the scattered distribution of some specialties.In view of the above situation and problems,this paper puts forward some suggestions on reforming and upgrading the traditional normal specialty,strengthening the integration of resources,promoting the specialty construction,and setting up new specialty scientifically.
