The professional role played by teacher educators has a great impact on the formation and development of professional ability of teachers of master of education.This study focuses on teacher educators in higher education institutions in China.Using NVivo11 software,this study analyzes the text materials of 40 education masters in H University about"good teacher educators"in their eyes,explores the professional role positioning of"good teacher educators"and builds a professional role model of"good teacher educators"in the eyes of education masters.The research results show that"good teacher educator"in the eyes of master of education can be summarized into five roles:researcher,leader,motivator,liaison and demonstrator.Based on the text data of master of education and related theories,the positioning and connotation of each role are analyzed.The research results can provide theoretical guidance and practical direction for teacher educators to strive to become"good teacher educators".
