The report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China proposed to accelerate the construction of a national strategic talent force,and strive to cultivate more masters,strategic scientists,first-class scientific and technological leaders and innovation teams,young scientific and technological talents,outstanding engineers,great country craftsmen,and highly skilled talents.In order to achieve this strategic goal,an important approach is to not only teach students professional knowledge that keeps up with the development of science during the engineering teaching process in universities,but also to naturally integrate ideological and political elements into the curriculum.This combination can enhance the breadth and depth of education,and cultivate strategic talents with professional skills,rigorous scientific literacy,and noble patriotism.In this article,the core course Fundamentals and applications of PLC in Shenzhen Technology University is taken as an example to explore the dual introduction of professional knowledge and ideological and political elements,in order to achieve the fundamental goal of cultivating morality and nurturing the spirits spontaneously and naturally.
