Natural Medicinal Chemistry Experiments course is an integral part of the core curriculum of Natural Medicinal Chemistry for Pharmaceutical Engineering,Pharmacy, and Chinese Pharmacy majors, which plays a vital role in developing students'professional skills.A new experimental teaching method was designed and developed based on Camellia nitidissima,a characteristic medical-food dual-use plant in Guangxi with rich natural resources. The method aims to cultivate students'independent learning ability and problem-solving skills by introducing the OBE concept,project-based teaching mode, and diversified evaluation methods into Natural Medicinal Chemistry Experiments course.Students are encouraged to choose, design, and complete the experiment independently by modularizing the experimental scheme and data analysis, and the effects are evaluated based on their experimental design, experimental process, results, analysis, and discussion. This project-based experimental teaching method helps cultivate students'professional technology application ability and innovative spirit and serves as a reference for other universities to design professional experimental teaching cases with local characteristic resources.
