The implementation of moral education by graduate student supervisors and the collaboration with multiple departments are crucial to the effectiveness of graduate student training.In this study,30 graduate student supervisors and 2 staff members of related departments were surveyed in the College of Civil Engineering and Architecture of Three Gorges University,to present the current situation of implementing the duties of graduate student supervisors in moral education and the difficulties in the process of multi-departmental collaboration in nurturing students.The study found that the graduate student supervisors paid more attention to the content related to the graduation requirements of students,but their knowledge of the responsibility of moral education needs to be improved,and the ideological guidance and process of educating students needs to be strengthened.In addition,the need for improvement from the perspectives of early warning mechanisms,multi-departmental collaboration,and strengthening the capacity building of instructors in the postgraduate training process are discussed.
