Major comprehensive evaluation is an important part of undergraduate teaching quality assurance system.This paper analyzes some problems existing in the major of resource exploration engineering in East China University of Technology,based on the second round of comprehensive evaluation of undergraduate majors and evaluation index system in Jiangxi Province,and the paper also puts forward new ideas and promotion paths for the construction and development of this major in the future,that is,to formulate teaching quality improvement plans from the aspects of improving the quality of ideological and political education,strengthening connotation construction,creating first-class courses,cultivating first-class teachers and cultivating first-class talents with broad caliber,solid foundation and high quality,so as to effectively improve the quality of talent training and effectively promote the sustainable development of majors.
