In order to effectively address the demand for professionals in additive manufacturing engineering and overcome the shortcomings of undergraduate talent cultivationsuch as the overly long training cycle and the homogeneity,a micro-major project Additive Manufacturing Engineering is developed.Centered on this project,a"free exploration"teaching model and a"quantity-light,quality-heavy"curriculum system is designed. The teaching staff is built in a"fixed+floating"format, inviting corporate engineers and renowned scholars to participate in classroom teaching. An innovation-oriented assessment method and graded evaluation criteria have been established. The micro-major talent cultivation is closely integrated with subject competitions. After three years of teaching practice, initial educational outcomes is obtained.
