Digital innovation in curriculum and teaching models has emerged as a crucial trend in the growth of higher education within the context of the digital transformation of education.A foundational course in environmental science and engineering,Environmental Engineering Microbiology,is crucial for fostering students'creative thinking,practical application skills,and understanding of scientific research rationale.This paper examines the benefits and difficulties encountered during the digital revolution of education using the course Environmental Engineering Microbiology as an example.It suggests a number of tactics related to the integration of science and education,experimental digital innovation,and curriculum digital innovation.The aim of the study is to comprehensively enhance the theoretical foundation,practical skills,and scientific innovation thinking of professionals in the field of environmental science and engineering.This study will serve as a guide for enhancing curriculum instruction efficacy and developing exceptional talent in the context of education's digital transition.
