In the context of the construction of the new engineering disciplines, universities have put forward new requirements for the cultivation of engineering talents with practical and innovative abilities. The field of mining engineering also requires curriculum reform to keep up with the times. In this study,we have reflected on the course reform of Open-pit Mine Slope Stability based on the OBE(Outcome-Based Education)concept, addressing the problems existing in traditional education. The course reform focuses on revising the teaching objectives, reconstructing the teaching content, reforming the teaching strategies, and implementing a diversified and new evaluation system.By implementing the above reform strategies,it expects to enhance student's learning effectiveness and comprehensive abilities in the course of Open-pit Mine Slope Stability under the new engineering discipline background. This will provide reference and guidance for cultivating outstanding talents that meet the requirements of the new engineering discipline.
