The professional introduction course is the first professional related course that students have been exposed to since entering school.It plays a fundamental guiding role in improving students'professional literacy,understanding the development trend of the industry,and making career planning.Based on the demand for professional talents for the development of the Pan-home Furnishing industry in the Greater Bay Area,this paper takes the construction and implementation of the introduction course of Furniture design and engineering major of South China Agricultural University as an example to discuss the significance of the course,formulation of teaching objectives,construction of teaching content,organization of teaching team,determination of teaching methods,teaching implementation,assessment and evaluation,etc.The practical experience of the introduction course of Furniture design and engineering major of South China Agricultural University is comprehensively displayed.The study hopes to provide reference for the construction of more professional introduction courses that serve the needs of industrial talents.
