Cultivating graduate students is the responsibility and obligation entrusted by the country and society to universities and tutors.Cultivating talents for the Party and the country,especially independent innovative talents that meet the major strategic needs of the country is an important task for training graduate students in the new era.Beihang Intelligent Transmission Research Center(ITRC)has been actively exploring the mode of training graduate students for a long time,and put forward the mode of"setting goals,strengthening the foundation,emphasizing practice,and integrating innovation".ITRC has successively trained leading talents,technical backbones and young outstanding talents in the automobile field.This paper will explain how to strengthen the ability training of high-quality graduate students,how to speed up the adaptation to the major needs of the automobile industry,and how to deepen the atmosphere of independent innovation under the development of the new era,the rapid expansion of graduate education scale,and the rapid update and iteration of the automobile industry and technologies.Meanwhile,this paper summarizes and sorts out the experience gained by Beihang ITRC team when exploring the mode of training independently innovative graduate students to provide new ideas and implementation methods for cultivating outstanding innovative talents in the automobile and other industries.
